Aunt Lou here.

I’m excited that Indiana’s Family of Farmershas asked me to take their $50 Challenge and write up a sponsored post to tell you all about it again this month! What’s that you ask? I take $50 and see how far I can make it stretch at the grocery store. If you have read many of my posts, you know that is right up my alley! I love frugal shopping!

We love pork around here. So I couldn’t help but buy another pork loin and divide it up between some of our favorite recipes. I bought over SIX pounds of pork loin for $11.49. Out of that, I got 12 pork chops and a huge hunk of loin! If you’ve never done it before, Mikey will show you how!

So what were these scrumdiddlyumptious meals I made? Well, let me tell you!

First up, I made Lemon Pepper Pork Chops (just with boneless chops and a splash of broth in the bottom of the crock pot to give my chops some moisture) and had that with salad and rice.

Next up, Michael and I brainstormed together to come up with this Crock Pot Citrus Teriyaki Pork Loin (YUM!) and had it with some mashed potatoes and green beans.

In the interest of full disclosure, I will tell you this, I did NOT buy potatoes while I was on this trip. We have a 10 lb bag at our house right now, and I know that we will not go through 20 lbs of potatoes before they would go bad, so I did not want to be wasteful. And I was going to take a picture of the sign, but I forgot my camera, and I still have a basic phone, so the picture I tried to take of it isn’t the greatest quality. So, trust me on this. I could get 5 lbs of potatoes for $2.29. I have added that in my total, so I am still within my $50 limit. Actually, even with the potatoes added in, my grand total is $44.86!Woohoo!

Next up, I made a half batch of these Crock Pot Ranch Chicken Wraps. Now these bad boys kinda have it all on their own. You have meat, veggies and grains…but, if you want a little more, we sometimes pair it with our favorite chips and we don’t want those orange going to waste, so everyone can have one!

Now Michael was most excited about me putting our Crock Pot Bourbon Chickenwith rice on the menu. He LOVES this recipe. I’m a pretty big fan of it too. 😉

And towrap up this month’s 6 Crock Pot Meals for $50, Crock Pot BBQ Chicken Wraps (see what I did there! 😉 ) You see, we had some leftover chicken, some leftover wraps, leftover wrap toppings. So this is a great way to utilize all of our groceries, but give us a completely different taste! You can also pair this up with some chips and the rest of your oranges!
