There is nothing better on a hot summer day than a big ol’ glass of iced tea except maybe Peach Iced Tea! Well, to be honest, summer is not the only time we love our tea, right?
It’s an anytime treat to roll through Sonic and order their delicious peach tea. But, did you know you can make it at home? Yes, you can!
Copycat Sonic Peach Iced Teais so easy to make you won’t believe it! Using fresh peaches, sugar, tea, and water you can whip up this delicious and refreshing tea right at home and have it anytime you want!
You don’t need any special equipment to make this peach tea, but if you don’t already have a fine mesh strainer, you’ll want to get one.
You could try using a colander to strain your tea instead, but then you’ll end up with some small particles from the fresh peaches. If you don’t mind that, then no big deal!

Super Easy Copycat Sonic Peach Iced Tea
Copycat Sonic Peach Iced Tea Ingredients:

Peach Syrup:
- Sugar
- Water
- Sliced fresh Peaches
Tea:
- Tea Bags
- Water
How to make Copycat Sonic Peach Iced Tea:
Bring syrup ingredients to boil. Then reduce heat to medium.
Crush peach slices as you stir to dissolve sugar.
Turn off heat cover and let sit for 30 minutes.
Boil water and brew tea letting steep 5 minutes.
Remove tea bags and refrigerate.
Strain syrup through a fine strainer to remove fruit pieces.
Add syrup to tea and serve over ice.

You want to use ripe peaches for this recipe, because they are sweeter. First look at the color and choose the peaches that are brightly colored.
Then you need to feel your peaches too. Press gently near the top of the peach. If it just starts to give, it’s ripe and ready to go.

It’s best to store peaches at room temperature. Keep them in a single layer and with the stem side facing down.
How to Store Peach Iced Tea:
Keep your peach tea in a pitcher with an airtight top, stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. (But I really doubt you won’t drink it all before then!)
How Long Will Homemade Peach Syrup Last?:
If you make a large batch at once, you can store your Sonic peach syrup in the refrigerator in a tightly sealed container for 1 – 2 weeks.
