Enable to create links between pages (2024)

As the contents in the notebook keeps increasing over a period of time, I would like to have a link or connector to a previous page or a different book within the app to quickly navigate to the desired content instead if flipping through the pages.

October 19th and my GoodNotes 6 hasn’t updated to hyperlinks within documents yet. How can I get it.

  • Yury commented · · Report

If you say this is in there can you please let us know what version of the software it is in? I just updated and as of version 6.1.8 this feature is not in the product.

Would like to mention TODAY GoodNotes updated GN 6 and added this feature. GN now allows to create links that can direct you to:

    - Any page within the same document.
    - Any page withing a different document.
    - A website.

    It’s great!

As a customer of v5 I'm holding off on moving to a v6 sub until this is implemented. It seriously has me considering other options.

I think the first I heard about this concept was 2-3 years ago, and it seems crazy that some filler/useless feature like AI took priority over this.

No plans to buy v6 until this is implemented. It’s all I need. Nobody asked for AI, I understand that as a gimmick feature for marketing sounds cool but please don’t make a fool of your long time customers, we’ve been asking this essential feature for years.

I understand that you need to release new versions and I’m happy to pay for the next one if current customers are not neglected, but I don’t want cheap marketing tricks.

As soon as I see an ETA for this feature I’ll buy the v6

I don't understand why they still haven't added this crucial option.

  • Jyn K commented · · Report

where can we see the updates on this feature? ETA?

I can imagine an example of how interface and mechanism could look like is of the excel power pivot data model diagram view. Where each of the “hotspot link element” that is named is provided as a list in the page and we can drag and drop it to another page.

I'm not the only one NEEDING or WANTING this feature. When is it going to be ready?????

  • tom mccardle commented · · Report

Obviously quite a bit of interest in adding this feature. As I use a goodnotes calendar to track meetings and then multiple, different goodnotes notebooks to track notes, it would be ideal to link from my calendar to those individual notebooks. This seems so incredibly basic and it should be as easy to link a notebook as it is to favorite a page.

No comments, no interest on listening their users, any suggestion on any other app?

  • Simone Argento commented · · Report

It would be amazing to jump freely among the pages without scroll. This feature would increase quality of my handwrite documents and all PDFs that i have downloaded in my app.

  • Paige Sheffield commented · · Report

Lets just say that if i wanted to flip pages i would use a regular notebook. I am beyond disappointed that this program doesn’t have a link pages and documents option. I will not purchase another version of GN without it and am currently researching other alternative programs that are reported to allow it seemlessly.

It would be fantastic to be able to quickly access the links in the PDFs by touching the screen sometimes with the pencil or once with the finger

  • k murasawa commented · · Report

This may be off the track, but I would like the button on the tool bar that can return last written page.
It's takes time to scroll to last written pages after checking the previous note.
Now i use bookmark feature instead.

    Is it difficult to implement?
Of course welcome to the link feature too.

GN : THIS is actually the PLACE you should start RESEARCHING what to IMPLEMENT in your FUTURE UPDATES, RELEASES, UPGRADES etc..
(->Not this AI crap, nobody wanted..!!)
You could have saved YOUR COMPANY a LOT OF time and effort , money and RESOURCES with THIS!

    -> INTERNAL links, please ;
    requested since FIVE YEARS!

STILL: NO time frame on this, except for a label sticker : CONSIDERING..
And in GN6 release , "you have it on YOUR LIST " for additional, possible, future updates..to come..

WHY NOT , make the CHANGES FIRST: THEN RELEASE another app, when implemented ALREADY, not BEFORE?!

    BTW:
Goodnotes on WINDOWS still also doesn't feature, any compabilty with pre-existing notes on iOS.., only if SHARED on the WEB..INDIVIDUALLY..pretty tedious.

AND YET, NONE of the PRE-MADE internal links in these link-shared PDFs, done prior to GN, will WORK on windows..!
What is the puropose of releasing all these "NEW apps" soo EARLY?
Only to CHARGE for it, in advance..!

I'm sure and have HEARD, that also goes on with the ANDROID app NOW!!
Also: WHY not offer it for ANDROID PHONES?!

    What's the strategy here--?!!!

I've requested this via Twitter a couple of years ago. I'm disappointed that it is still not there. Not even a reaction.

  • Monique Catubig commented · · Report

And links to other documents within good notes, don’t want to incorporate multiple slides into my normal notebook :)

  • Jan Marten Locher commented · · Report

Totall agree ,with Eric Traband :

"No plans to buy v6 until this is implemented !!!!!"
