Let’s just say the man that was working here tonight is rude to start with. I showed up around 310pm and I was told it was a 40 minute wait. I said okay and sat down. Then 45 minutes later someone they must know came in to get her toes done and the lady was saying they don’t have time today. The lady that came in was nice and said okay no problem. The lady clearly didn’t have an appointment. Then they asked her to come back tomorrow. She replied she couldn’t because she was going back to Korea and they say her down in the chair instantly and started working on her nails after 10 minutes of her waiting. It’s 4:30 now and I still have not been seen or checked on. I have already invested time sitting here waiting so I will wait longer. They close at 5pm..... to say I’m a little upset is an understatment.451pm and I have been moved to a dirty nail table to wait. 🤦🏼‍♀️ Read Less

Katherine, I have been going there for over 20 yeasts. Wouldn’t go anywhere else. Ask for Helen to do your nails. Also, they give the best spa pedicures. Ask for Ricky for your pedicure.

I'm a fan of Nail City! I live super close by, every time i've called for an appointment they have time or make time and its affordable.I have tried almost all the places in mandarin and without fail I keep coming back to Nail City. Pedicures are awesome, I have not done nails yet but i'm due for another gel nail soon.Place is clean, they have plastic bags over the tubs which is clean and safe. A huge “thank you” to Helen the owner of Nail City/Salt Room! I showed up 30 minutes before closing for mani/pedi/brow wax (gel nails). Most places would have said come back tomorrow but not Helen! One of the finest nail salons in Jacksonville. Helen, the manager, runs a tight ship. The salon is spacious, immaculate, open, airy, and a joy to relax in. The pedicure and manicure stations are well-kept, clean, and easily accessible to the handicapped. The staff are all exceptional. They found a jam in Ricky, my manicurist but all are very well trained and experienced. Their prices are very reasonable and comparable to any salon in Jacksonville. Their services run from just the simple manicure to waxing, salt spas, you name it they provide it. I will be a patron at the salon as long as their doors are open!! Read Less

My husband booked us time in the Salt Room here and we decided to get pedicures afterward. So glad we did! Honestly, hands (or toes) down, best pedicure I've ever had. Between the hot parafin wax treatment, the aromatic scrub, the leg massage and the comfortable vibrating chair, I was in heaven. Totally relaxed and it all felt amazing. After that part, she also gave me a wonderful pedicure that came out perfectly. My feet get cracked and calloused; I've been places where the pedicurist has literally made them bleed while trying to smooth them out. Not here. Gentle but enough pressure to be effective. The owner of the salon is a sweetheart and very accommodating & friendly. Nice overall vibe in the office, too. Comfortable, clean. Can't wait to go back!!!! Read Less

I scheduled an 11am pedicure and manicure for my friend and I. She got started before me and my lady did not show up to work until 1130. My nails look horrible. I got the gel nails and it is pooled at the bottom of my nails. It looks so unprofessional. They did not clean utensils in between people but placed the tools in the drawers. Waste of time and money. When it's packed it's just not worth the wait honestly, but when you are able to go in quickly it's really nice. A regular pedi is $20 and a deluxe pedi is a bit more, but both are very relaxing due to the massage chairs. Helen will chase you down if you leave when it's too busy but she's just trying to be a nice manager lol, come back when you have time though. This place is a little more expensive than the average place for pedicures, but it is worth it. They take their time on the massage and spend the time making sure your feet feel soft and refreshed.

I stopped in to get a pedicure during my break at work and chose this place in particular because they use tub liners and autoclave the equipment, which should be a standard now in the industry (sadly it's not). I called 6 places before finding one in the area that does. Helen, who might be the owner, was so nice. She treated me like a long time friend or family member! She mentioned she never saw me before but was so glad I came in for an appointment, and checked in on we 2 times during my pedicure to make sure I was going ok! The pedicure was probably one of the best I've ever had. The man doing it took his time and was not harsh with my feet. My toes look fantastic and my feet feel great. My only complaint would be I asked for a pedicure and they ended up doing one that had a wax treatment (which was amazing) but I wasn't sure if that was standard for all their pedicures or did he do a deluxe one without asking me? I went on the website afterwards and saw SO many different pedicure options and wish they asked me because I would've chosen one of the other ones perhaps. They don't have prices on the website so I have no idea what pedicure I received. It was about 1 hour and it was truly a fantastic pedicure and cost 38$ without tip. I was happy with the price and the service, next time I wish I had a better understanding of the service though. Also- minor complaint, and this has nothing to do with the salon, but the women getting a pedicure next to me was on the phone the ENTIRE time (clearly had some very harsh things to say about her past relationship) and it was so annoying. I doubt this is a reoccurring problem but it would be so nice if they had a sign up that said no cell phones because holy cow- that sucked to listen to, and sadly I now know what this woman's entire take is on the male race and trust me, it's not pretty. I'll definitely be back, next time I'll ask for a service list so I can pick from one of the many pedicure options they have available! Read Less

I have recently had a bad experience here. I went 4 times in the last month because of broken nails. The 4th time I specifically asked to have a nail drilled off and instead she took a plastic finger nail and stabbed my nail bed so hard I flung my hand back in pain. No apology, nothing. I wanted to wait until I visited the salon a few times before writing this review. Now that I've been there a couple of times I just wanted to say that Quinn was absolutely divine in the way that she listen to what my needs were in doing my initial first set and fill-ins. Then I had Jenny, to give me a full spa pedicure, and her hands are really great for massage of the legs and feet, especially if you stand on your feet all day long. I really just love how cozy the salon is. It's not too busy and not absent of customers either. I have been coming back to this nail salon for 20 years because they do the best job of any other salons I have ever visited. They do an excellent job all the time. My nails look real and not fake at all. I get compliments on them all the time. I have never had a bad experience in 20 yrs. I drive out of my way to come here. Went to this place based off previous reviews and boy were they wrong. At first I thought it was nice because they didn't open till 10 but they let me in early and they had lots of different custom lotions. However, when I got a pedicure the technician cut my toe absentmindedly with the razor for shaving dead skin! She never said anything about it or the fact that my foot was bleeding and painful during the rest of the pedicure. I went back a second time to give them the benefit of the doubt and was more infuriated than before. While getting a manicure the SAME technician cut every single one of my fingers with the cuticle clippers and drew blood. I said something to her after she cut my first finger and she just kept going. I got gel polish and she painted it with ONE coat and told me I was done. After all that my fingers were bleeding and looked like a four year old painted them and she still charged me full price. Never going there again. Read Less

This nail salon is right down the street, so the convenience alone is worthy of a high rating. The techs are very nice and know what they are doing. I have come twice now to get a gel overlay and have yet to return early due to problems with lifting. Another plus side to this place is that they are open on SUNDAYS!!!! I chose this place based on the only other review on here, figured they had to be decent enough to keep someone coming back for 8 years. Staff is super nice and got me in right away as a walk-in. I got a basic pedi, it's only $20, and you get what you pay for. It wasn't a relaxing experience, the chairs don't really massage and the tools they used kind of made me nervous, like I might get a fungus; the pedi took awhile considering I was only getting the bare minimum done. I'm not trying to be mean, I'm just giving an honest review. If you want a quick polish change or something very basic, I'd recommend this place. I found this Jem of a nail salon, eight years ago and have been loving coming here to relax, get my nails done ever since. Everyone is great here. Very friendly. Always do the best work, whatever you choose to have done. The deluxe pedicure is a must experience!! Great for a girls day out! I even have my hubby come in with me for pedicures. I tell him it's like a tune up for his feet. He jokes that I really have to twist arm to have pretty girls massage his feet. Lol. They use gel polish it drys in seconds to a hard perfect finish that thru to the next fill. I love it because I am rough on my nails and they look as good as two weeks out as the first day!
