“WOW! What a gem Caza Brava Mexican Restaurant is! My friend Jason was craving Mexican food to celebrate his birthday. I just googled nearest restaurant to us and this came up first. So glad we decided to give it a try! From the moment Xavier graciously and enthusiastically greeted us at the door, we had the most scrumptious meal served by our most attentive waitress, Mary Bell. What a lovely person and hard worker! Oh, right! You want to know about the food! Fantastic! Jason had nachos and I was torn between a shrimp dish and their vegetarian dish which had more and varied vegetables than you see on most Mexican restaurant menus. I asked Xavier if he could add shrimp, and he came up with a solution immediately, which turned out to be SO FLAVORFUL And the presentation was truly beautiful! I never take pictures of my food at restaurants, but last night I did! And I’ve never written a review of a restaurant, not ANY restaurant…ever. Xavier and the rest of the staff, the quality of the service, and the tastiness of the food deserves five stars plus plus plus! I’ll be bringing more of my friends here!“

“This place is AMAZING!! From food to service to staff. We had an issue with our order being made incorrectly and the ladies working a BUSY Friday night made it right immediately. The food is great and at a great price point as well (hard to find these days). This will definitely be one of go-tos from now on. And….. almost EVERYTHING is GLUTEN FREE!! “We have been coming here for 3 years, since we bought our house in the area. This has become our weekly family dinner out, and they(staff)have become like family to us. The food is extraordinary, the service and staff are fantastic. When our friends and relatives come to visit, going to Monterrey’s is a given. We tried a new dessert tonight that they are considering adding to their menu. I am not a sweets eater, but I did sample a taste, at my husband and kid’s insistence. It was fantastic! Then.. “We ordered the asada fries con pollo. They were just as good as at the other store on Kingston Pike, but we didn't feel it was quite as much food. Even so, it was wonderful, and it was just what we needed. The asada fries are enough to split between two people and we did.
Parking: It was nice to be able to sit down. The various trucks around town and the drive-thru on Kingston Pike don't offer that.

“This place is BOMB. I have not tried anything I didn’t like. My favorite thing to get is the carne asada fries.The service here is always pretty quick for how good and fresh the food always tastes. Today we had a little bit of a wait due to them making fresh fries for us. I’ll never complain about fresh fries ? The service isn’t particularly friendly, but I wouldn’t say any of the employees are rude either.The outdoor patio seating area is pretty minimal. There are plenty of colorful picnic tables to sit at, I’ve never had an issue with finding an empty spot to sit at. Having bathrooms for guests is a major bonus.Overall, I think La Herradura is a wonderful not-do hidden gem in our community.“

Beer is available.The bucket of chips (fresh and warm! ) keeps arriving along with delicious salsa ?Our server was attentive and brought packaging for our remaining chips and salsa after we were completely stuffed. We had three steak tacos, two meat (chicken and steak) quesadilla, and two sopes: one chicken and one roasted pork. We slowly finished it all.Everything is fresh and made onsite. You won't find anything better if you are traveling through, like we were.Make the stop! Not far off the highway.

“Me and my family are from Atlanta and we came this way for a volleyball tournament, and after the tournament we was headed to wing stop but they had a 45 minute to an hour wait. Went down the road a little and seen this taco truck and man oh man if I could have game it 10 stars I would. We ordered 9 steak tacos with extra cilantro and onions and of course it was ?!!!! I highly recommend this business 100%.“

“We were seated right away even though it was a Saturday at 7pm and the parking lot was full!Our server, Yuni, came over right away and she was awesome! Chips were delivered to our table and Yuni pointed out the Salsa bar. So many choices! We settled on hot, table salsa and I also got the avocado jalapeño. I actually ended up getting 3 cups of that stuff. It was DELICIOUS!!We ordered the fajitas for one and split it. We couldn’t even eat it all. Ours had chicken and beef. It was really good.I also had the house margarita and it was smooth and nice.The restaurant was very festive and clean. We will definitely be back!“

“This is a place you go for great food, not fancy atmosphere! The floor was dirty, but tables were clean. Tekemundo was on and the jukebox was blasting in Spanish. The corn tortillas are outstanding!
