After registration, the tandarts (dentist) will generally schedule in a regular check-up every six months. The dentist will perform most routine procedures themselves. Anaesthesia will generally not be given automatically; it must be requested from the dentist before dental treatment (if required).A tandarts (dentist) does not always have availability to accept new clients. An initial intake appointment must be made for all family members before treatment can commence. ๐ช๐ต๐ฎ๐ ๐ถ๐ ๐ฐ๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐ฑ?Not all dentists are covered by all national health insurance policies, check with both dentist and health insurance provider to ensure coverage. Gemeente Stein is both a city and a municipality, located directly along the river Maas, nestled between Sittard-Geleen to the west and Belgian Maasmechelen across the river to the east. With Maastricht and Valkenburg just a stoneโs throw away and other Dutch cities easily reachable by the A2 motorway, Stein is conveniently located. In comparison to other cities and villages in the area, Stein is fairly sizeable, and the municipality is home to nine town centres. Steinโs past can be discovered at the Streekmuseum Elsloo and Stichting Erfgoed Stein, and the municipality is home to a number of national monuments, its own original windmill built in 1805 and about 140 small monuments. Many of these small monuments can be found along the many walking and cycling routes that make their way through the municipality. Alongside its vicinity to knowledge campuses, tertiary institutions and international organisations in the Maastricht Region, Stein has five industrial areas which are the locations of numerous successful undertakings in the entrepreneurial sector: Businesspark Stein, Haven Stein, Paalweg, Kerensheide and Schutterstraat. The municipality has a number of projects supporting entrepreneurs including an โOpen For Businessโ which enables starters to get to know one another, share experiences and advice and enable them to grow their networks and businesses. Stein has five primary schools and one secondary school, accommodating the educational needs for their residents. International families are welcome to enrol their children in primary schools, however secondary school-aged students have the choice of four bilingual schools in the Maastricht Region and one international school. The Maastricht Region is made up of seventeen municipalities, each with their own character and all uniquely Limburgs. Healthcare in the NetherlandsAs soon as you know that you are pregnant, you should make an appointment with the midwife or obstetrician. He or she will inform your General Practitioner (GP).Your midwife or obstetrician will monitor the course of your pregnancy at regular intervals. Usually, you will be invited for a check-up every four weeks during the first half of the pregnancy. The frequency then increases to weekly appointments as the due date approaches. However, this is only a general indication: more or fewer appointments may be scheduled depending on your personal situation. It is very important for your baby to have the heel prick test. During the first week of life, some blood will be taken from your babyโs heel and sent to the laboratory. It is then tested for a number of rare, serious diseases. Your babyโs hearing will be tested shortly after birth, usually at home between four and seven days after birth. If you are at home in the first few days after birth, the midwife and maternity nurse will provide the necessary care. After that, your local child healthcare centre will assume responsibility for providing all necessary care for your baby. No action is required on your part: someone from the centre will contact you for an introductory visit. The Maastricht Region plays host to some of the top healthcare facilities in the Netherlands. If so, a werkvergunning (work permit) is required. The Landelijk Steunpunt Arbeidsmigratie, LSA (national support centre for labour migration in the Netherlands) answers questions and provides information to employers in the Netherlands regarding the procedure surrounding work permits for the Netherlands. Samira Belhadj is an adviser at the LSA, part of the national team that supports the EU jobs network EURES employer services. In this interview Samira talks about the LSA's role for employers. Finding staff is a challenge in many sectors at the moment. Therefore, it is sometimes a advantage for employers to look beyond their own national borders or even outside the EU. Employers have to apply for a work permit for staff from outside the Netherlands (only in Dutch). A very specific process, according to Samira: โIt involves a lot of regulations. At the LSA, together with my colleagues Margriet de Jong and Tim Kersten, I help employers in this process by advising on how to recruit staff outside the EU. So: what should employers take into account within this process? And how can employers go through this in the best possible way?โ๐ง๐ถ๐ฝ: ''Take the processing time of the application procedure into account. Not only for the work permit, but also for the supporting documents that are required such as the evaluation of credentials , known in the Netherlands as diplomawaardering.''Read more ๐๐ป https://lnkd.in/ebQ7tBTB#expatcentremaastrichtregion #maastrichtregion #welcometomaastrichtregion

Conversely, the numbers who lived in the Netherlands and worked in neighbouring countries are much lower. Noord-Limburg, Zuid-Limburg and Zeeuws-Vlaanderen are the regions in the Netherlands with the highest percentage of workers living in Germany or Belgium.Almost 44 000 residents crossed the border from Germany to work in the Netherlands, from Belgium 42 000. These numbers have remained almost constant since 2017. The number of employees who came from Belgium and Germany to work in the Netherlands in 2021 was much higher than the number who commuted in the opposite direction. From the Netherlands, almost 7 000 employees worked in the German state of Nordrhein-Westfalen, 1 000 in Niedersachsen and 11 000 in Vlaanderen, the Dutch-speaking region of Belgium. Very few people resident in the Netherlands work in the French-speaking region of Wallonia in Belgium. The number of cross-border commuters from the Netherlands to Belgium has fallen slightly since 2017.More information can be found at the website of CBS (in Dutch) ๐๐ปhttps://lnkd.in/e7jvY7b9#expatcentremaastrichtregion #maastrichtregion #welcometomaastrichtregion #crossborderworkers
